Dear customers,
with this message we conclude our news ticker on the cyber attack. Our goal was to keep you continuously informed about our progress and to present the current situation as transparently as possible. Your understanding of the situation, your trust and your loyalty have motivated us even more to be the reliable and trustworthy partner you have come to expect from mk again as soon as possible. In the following, we would now like to present some final information.
We have successfully taken the necessary steps to strengthen our IT infrastructure. In parallel, additional security measures have been implemented to make our systems more resilient to future threats and to protect us even more effectively.
All processes and systems that are critical and elementary for order processing have been re-established. We are able to deliver again in all business areas. Some remaining support processes and systems will be restored in the near future, so that you will be able to enjoy all the usual services again as quickly as possible.

Delivery Dates Conveyor and Transfer Systems
From now on we can inform you again about delivery dates in our offers and order confirmations. In addition, we have rescheduled all accumulated orders and sent updated order confirmations to our customers. Please note that due to the high backlog of orders and the backlog in processing, there is some uncertainty in the delivery dates, so there may be some postponements. We ask for your understanding for this situation.
On a positive note, we are gradually moving back towards normal operations. Despite some remaining construction sites, we are confident that we will successfully tackle and complete them in the near future and that eventually all processes will run smoothly again.

Profile system available again, conveyor technology in progress
Profile Technology
We are pleased to inform you that we are able to deliver again in the product group profile system, i.e. profiles and components without construction part. You can find the delivery times in your order confirmation.
Conveyor and transfer systems
Although we have also resumed work in our design department and continue to work on recovery, we are unfortunately unable to provide you with an exact delivery date for your conveyor technology and transfer systems orders at this time.
Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to process your orders as quickly as possible. Our team is working hard to review accumulated orders and ensure that they are processed in the order in which they were received.
We will keep you updated on the progress of your order and provide you with more information on the expected delivery date as soon as possible. We continue to thank you for your loyalty, understanding and patience.

More systems and processes back online
On the long way to restore our systems and processes after the massive cyber attack, we can communicate the following partial successes today:
- Our automatic warehouse is back in operation, so that we can deliver again in the profile system product group, i.e. profiles and components without a design part. We are using all the resources available in this area to clear the backlog as quickly as possible.
- Towards the end of this week we will partially restore the working capacity of the construction department so that we can process orders from the areas of conveyor technology and transfer systems. We ask for your understanding that there will be delays due to the backlog of individual orders.

Ability to act restored in some areas
Since our last message, we have worked very intensively and successfully to defend against the recent cyber attack on us. Our IT experts, in cooperation with external specialists, have taken extensive measures to contain the threat and prevent further damage.
In the first sub-areas we were able to restore our ability to act:
- Communication with us is secure, you can contact us via the known channels without hesitation.
- With restrictions, we were able to put our offer and order system back into operation in sales. We are now able to view and record the large number of inquiries and orders that have been received.
- Thus we can send you again offers without drawings/models. If you no longer wish to receive an offer for your inquiry, please let us know as a matter of urgency.
- We will most likely be able to deliver orders for profiles and components without a design part again from the end of next week. We ask for your understanding that there will still be delays due to the backlog of individual orders.
We are doing everything we can to get the outstanding systems and processes back into operation as quickly and safely as possible.
At the same time, we are implementing additional security measures to make our infrastructure even more resilient in the future and to protect ourselves from potential threats.

Dear customers,
we are still working intensively on the restoration of our systems. As of now, your personal contacts in the field service can be reached again as usual.

Dear business partners, customers and employees,
the headquarters of the mk Technology Group in Troisdorf became victim of a cyber attack between May 15th and 16th, 2023.
Due to this, we have shut down all systems for security and our IT department is working together with external specialists on an orderly restart of the systems. As a result, no material movements are possible at the moment and communication is restricted.
We are working flat out to get our business operations back on track as quickly as possible and to be available to you again.
