Trade fair SIAMS 2020 - postponed to autumn due to corona virus

The SIAMS 2020 trade fair in Moutier will be postponed to autumn due to the corona virus. mk will also take part on the catch-up date November 10th to 13th.

Automation and Material Flow Construction Kit

Also at the new date of the SIAMS, PROMEC AutomationAG, which will soon become mk Switzerland AG, will be showcasing its automation and material flow construction kit. The highlights of the stand will include the Versaflex modular flat top conveyor system and other custom feeding and interlinking conveyor technology modules.

The Versaflex modular flat top conveyor is designed according to modular principles. The standardised modules and components make it simple and cost effective to integrate the system into any production process, as well as to adapt and expand it. The system is ideal as either a turnkey solution for end users or a function module for machine builders or integrators. Any new designs, extensions or modifications needed due to changed requirements can be made quickly and cost-effectively thanks to its modular principles. The solution is compatible with systems that are currently available on the market and is being used very successfully in all areas of industry. The system is ideal for transporting products with primary and secondary packaging in sectors including food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or consumer goods in particular, but also for transporting pallets in assembly lines in the automotive industry or interlinking machines in manufacturing.

PROMEC will also be showcasing its accumulating pallet recirculation system SPU 2040. It is the perfect solution for cost-effectively interlinking machining stations and reliably feeding, buffering, positioning and separating workpieces in tight spaces. The workpieces on the workpiece carriers/pallets are transported by the flat top chain conveyor to the upper transport level. After the workpieces are removed, the empty workpiece carriers are safely carried over the tail and then conveyed back suspended below the transport level. They are then available at the start of the belt to be loaded with new workpieces. Neither a second conveyor level nor lift-and-lower units are necessary. It also eliminates the need to load workpiece carriers on the belt, whether manually or automatically.

Furthermore, PROMEC will be presenting a selection of feeding and interlinking belt conveyors. These are extremely well suited for transporting piece goods without special requirements regarding their location and position. Thanks to the closed belt surface, it is possible to transport products with any kind of base geometry.

With years of experience in conveyor technology, the PROMEC and mk team are your first points of contact for application-specific and technical questions relating to factory automation.
