Nuts

mk Nuts Overview

Nuts are the preferred mounting elements at mk in conjunction with angles, consoles, plates and T-slot accessory components. They are to be inserted into the profile on the front and can be used anywhere the installation situation allows because of their high load capacity and tear-out strength.

  • Drop-in nuts are intended for later insertion in the profile slot e.g. if the front of the profile is already closed and the Nuts 1 can no longer be inserted.
  • Nuts and drop-in nuts with spring steel sheet are fixed in the profile slot and can no longer slide. The assembly of attachment elements vertically is much easier.
  • Nuts with additional ESD function penetrate the anodized coating of the profile and thus ensure the conductivity of the connection.
  • Nut 1 and drop-in nut 1 with spring steel sheet are also available in stainless steel and thus corrosion-resistant.

Angle Connections and Console Connections


At mk our standard connection is the solid angle connection. The angles are fastened with DIN socket head screws, Schnorr ribbed washers, and T-nuts, which we refer to as nuts. For statically highly stressed constructions, in addition cast consoles are used in the series 50 and 60.

Tension connections


If the grooves of the profiles, e.g. for introducing panels, should remain free, use our tension connections. A construction with tension connections is visually appealing, interference contours due to angles do not occur. Various tension plugs are available for series 25, 40, and 50.

Connecting Plates


With the aid of connecting plates, profiles can easily be integrated retrospectively in an existing construction. Depending on the attachment situation, choose from straight plates, T-plates, or angle plates. A lightweight version and a heavy version are available dependant on load.

  • Optimal for reinforcement of a connection
  • No interference contours in the interior of a construction
  • Locking element thanks to keyed plates

Corner Connections


Corner connections in the form of corner nodes offer an attractive possibility of interconnecting profiles on the face side. The grooves of the profiles remain free and the corner point is convincing through seamless transitions, even for edge profiles and semi-circular profiles. The corner nodes are fastened either with screws that are screwed into the thread of the face side bore channels or via a tension connection.

Truss Joints


Truss joints are realized with the aid of truss blocks that have a specific angle of 30°, 45° or 60°. Consequently the transverse profile does not need to be mitered. Truss constructions are used to bridge large distances involving high loads, and to brace support frames and frame constructions.

  • Bracing of frames is quickly and easily possible
  • Suitable for linear axis portals with large span widths

Clamps


With clamps without key, profiles can be quickly connected together in any angle desired without high material costs. Clamps with key ensure a right-angle connection of the profiles. An opposing arrangement of the clamps prevents the profiles from twisting.
