Solutions for the Food & Beverage Industry

Gentle and Sanitary Transport of Sensitive Product

The production of food and beverage products is subject to strict legal regulations. Cleanliness and sanitation are the most important requirements. At the same time, modern products need to have unique packaging to make them stand apart from the crowd.

mk has extensive expertise working with sectors with stringent sanitation requirements and offers specially developed conveyor technology and interlink systems for a range of packaged and unpackaged food and beverage products.

For applications in the food and beverage industry, this means:

  • Automation and interlinking solutions for gentle handling and transport of packaged and unpackaged food products
  • Strict cleanliness and sanitation standards according to the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration, or FDA (no toxic substances, no allergens, no contamination, no nickel, easy and intensive cleaning, etc.)
  • Consistently high product quality with high cycle rates, maximum reliability of processes and maximum system availability

Solutions from mk

Special products need special solutions. We at mk use only certified components that allow our customers to work as safely, efficiently and hygienically as possible. Aluminium machines are used for handling packaged food and beverage products, whereas unpackaged food requires stainless INOX steel.

Blue and white wear strips and belts help you detect foreign particles caused by wear and abrasion. These are easy to install and replace. We have special belts for products with volatile oils, solvents, etc. To prevent contamination, the drives are not situated above the main transport line. Conveyors can also be designed with metal-free sections to allow for quality assurance tests involving metal detection.

mk’s portfolio includes profile technology that can reliably withstand the powerful water jets used in cleaning. Furthermore, all components are designed to eliminate obstructed spaces and corners where dirt can accumulate, making the system easy to clean.

mk’s references include, among others, solutions for vegetables, liquids, chocolate, nut granules, fruit gums, baked goods and tobacco products.
