Transporting oily gear parts
Task
During the production of small gear parts, a conveyor must transport the parts from production to the inspection device. A part must be fed every ten seconds. The system runs in 2-shift operation. In order to fit within the existing system, the conveyor must convey the products around a curve and upwards. Two different product types must be simultaneously produced in the system and then further conveyed according to type. The products are oily and thus a large amount of oil gets onto the conveyor when feeding the products.

The Versaflex A 06 was the best solution for the very small products and three-dimensional track layout. Thanks to the flexibility of the flat top chain, mk can install the conveying path without transfer points where small products often get stuck or fall off. A chain with cams was used to securely carry the products individually. The division of compartments was designed for the corresponding product geometry. Two conveyor lines could be installed over each other because of its low height. The different product types thus each have their own conveying path and are not mixed together. The flat top chain, wear strips, line and frame are resistant to oil. A drip pan ensures that no oil can drip from the products. Dripped oil can be drained from the drip pan via oil drain nozzles. A stand with levelling feet was mounted in the raised part of the conveyor, which allows the conveyor to be placed safely and evenly on the existing machine.
