The workpiece carrier circulation system with lifting unit is ideal for supplying or discharging parts, for connecting machines or for use as an assembly line. The workpieces are transported from the upper level to the lower level by the lifting unit. On the lower level, they return to the start position and are conveyed back to the upper level using the other lifting unit. The workpiece carriers can be stopped, stowed, separated or positioned so that they can be automatically loaded or removed, for example. The workpiece carrier circulation system with lifting units is particularly useful if only a limited installation space is available. The version with lifting units is also a good solution if workers need to access the workpiece carriers from both sides.
