The fully modular and standardised Versaflex flat top chain conveyor system is ideal for complex track designs within a three dimensional space. The different chain widths allow a fast configuration and a problem-free design of the system, alternatively also with workpiece carriers.
The flat top chain conveyor system Versaflex, formerly the plastic chain conveyor of the E-M-M-A GmbH, features a modular design. The standardized modules and components make it simple and cost effective to integrate the system into any production process, as well as to adapt and expand it. Moreover, it is compatible with systems that are currently available on the market and is being used very successfully in all areas of industry. Most notable for the transport of primary and secondary-packaged products from, among others, the food, pharmaceutical, chemical or consumer goods industry, but also for the transport of workpiece carriers in assembly lines e.g. of the automotive industry and for the linking of machines in the manufacturing industry the System optimally suited.
Versaflex System Overview
The single-track design and curve radii starting at 150 mm allow complex routes to be mapped in three-dimensional space. The chain runs on wear strips to ensure low wear and can only be operated with one drive at speeds of up to 50 m/min and system lengths of up to 40 m as standard.
In addition to the conveying paths, numerous accessory components complete the construction kit to ensure design freedom when constructing the system. mk offers drives, bends and cleats as well as side rails and stands to suit the task and the goods to be conveyed. Various function modules are also available, such as stoppers for accumulating, buffering or separating products as well as switches for distributing the products to several conveying paths.
Versaflex as Workpiece Carrier System
The Versaflex can also be used to transport pallets to enable exact positioning of products. With positioning accuracy of ±0.2 mm, the system is suited for gentle, reproduceable and exact handling of objects. The pallets can be adapted to customer requirements and equipped with custom mounts. Side rails help to guide the pallets and position them exactly at the fixing stations. Products are fixed, buffered and transported securely, precisely and without damage. In addition, the sturdy plastic chain offers maximum flexibility for planning and integration into existing systems.
The P08 version is 85 mm wide (chain width: 83 mm) and is designed for products weighing up to 10 kg per pallet. The pallets have a standard width of 150 mm.
The P11 version is a higher-performance version of the P08. With a width of 105 mm (chain width: 103 mm), it offers double the chain tensile force (2,500 N) and three times the load capacity, suitable for up to 30 kg per pallet. The pallets are available in widths up to 300 mm.

A product can be two or three times the width of the conveying chain provided the centre of gravity of the transported goods is within the chain width, additional supporting tracks may be required.
