The fully modular and standardised Versaflex chain conveyor system with plastic chains is ideal for complex track layouts within a three dimensional space. The different chain widths available mean that systems can be planned quickly and constructed efficiently.
The Versaflex flat top chain conveyor system is based on the modular principle. It is particularly suitable for transporting bottles, cans or small cardboard boxes along complex routes. With just one drive, products without separation points can be conveyed three-dimensionally, including along curves and different levels. The positive drive mechanism prevents slippage and makes the system suitable for wet areas.
The standardised modules and components make it simple and cost effective to integrate the system into any production process, as well as to adapt and expand it. Versaflex is compatible with other flat top chain systems that are currently available on the market and is being used very successfully in all areas of industry. The system is also ideal for transporting pallets in assembly lines (in the automotive industry, for instance) and for interlinking machines in the manufacturing industry.

Versaflex System Overview
The single-track design and curve radii starting at 150 mm allow complex routes to be mapped in three-dimensional space. The plastic chain runs on wear strips to ensure low wear and can only be operated with one drive at speeds of up to 60 m/min and system lengths of up to 30 m as standard.
In addition to the conveying paths, numerous options and modules round out the construction kit to provide maximum freedom when designing the flat top chain conveyor. The system offers drives, bends, cams, side rails and stands to suit the particular product being transported and the task at hand. Various function modules are also available, such as stoppers for accumulating, buffering or separating products as well as switches for distributing the products to several conveying paths.
Versaflex as Workpiece Carrier System
The Versaflex can also be used to transport pallets to enable exact positioning of products. With positioning accuracy of ±0.2 mm, the system is suited for gentle, reproduceable and exact handling of objects. The pallets can be adapted to customer requirements and equipped with custom mounts. Side rails help to guide the pallets and position them exactly at the fixing stations. Products are fixed, buffered and transported securely, precisely and without damage. In addition, the sturdy plastic chain offers maximum flexibility for planning and integration into existing systems.

A product can be two or three times the width of the conveying chain provided the centre of gravity of the transported goods is within the chain width, additional supporting tracks may be required.

The chains are made from plastics and are available in a wide variety of designs for virtually all applications – with an adhesive surface for inclines, with steel covering for sharp-edged parts or flocked for transporting very delicate items. In addition, a large number of different cleats are available – rollers in a wide range of dimensions for accumulating products, or flexible cleats for implementing clamping conveyors.
