    Technical Product Designer (m/w/d)

What will I do as a technical product designer?

  • You create 3-D-models and technical drawings for components, assemblies, machines and complete systems.
  • You document all steps and ensure that the drawings meet the requirements.
  • You pay attention to economic implementation, the selection of suitable manufacturing techniques and compliance with costs.

How is the apprenticeship structured?

1st year of the apprenticeship
Learning the basics of technical drawing; introduction to working with the 3D program Inventor and data management; introduction to the procedure for constructively processing initial offers and small orders with regard to standards

2nd year of the apprenticeship
Work placement in all departments related to design, e.g. production, assembly, electrical assembly, quality management, work preparation, documentation, etc.; expansion of activities in the field of design; calculations of drives etc. (load, speed); preparation for final exam part 1

3rd year of the apprenticeship
Work placement in project design, collaboration with the team when working on larger projects; further consolidation of activities in the field of design

4th year of the apprenticeship
Exam preparation for final exam part 2

What kind of further development will there be after the apprenticeship?

  • Studies, e.g. in mechanical engineering or design engineering
