Interlink System as Assembly Device

Problem definition
Two production steps in the manufacture of shafts for spinning machines need to be interlinked. The customer requires a compact workpiece carrier circulation system for round, upright products. A worker loads the workpiece carriers, which are to be conveyed around 90° to the next station, where a second worker removes the workpieces. The two workers should be able to work independently, making accumulation and separation of the workpiece carriers necessary.

mk Solution
2 opposing SBF-P 2254 flat top chain conveyors in an L shape. Flat top chains made from tempered steel. Pneumatic pusher for moving the workpiece carriers laterally from the feed track to the removal track and vice versa. Side rail with collar around the entire perimeter to prevent workpiece carriers from tipping. Custom workpiece carrier in a sleeve design for vertical mounting of the shafts.

Benefit to the customer

  • Provision and interlinking without fixed divisions ensures flexibility
  • Easily adapted to conditions on site: wide range of different track layouts possible
  • Extremely compact workpiece carrier circulation
  • Compliant with accident prevention regulations (UVV): no additional guarding necessary
