Platform for the inspection of overseas containers
Definition of the task
Several platforms with stairs are required at a logistics centre belonging to the German armed forces. The platforms are intended to ensure safe and easy access to overseas containers that are stacked on top of one another. They need to be used across the entire site and therefore need to be on rollers.
Solution from mk
Platforms were constructed from series 40 aluminium profiles, with a platform size of approx. 2500 mm (width) x 2000 mm (depth). The height of the platform is approx. 2500 mm in line with the second container level, and has a guardrail all the way round. The staircase is positioned at the side to save space. Swivel casters with a locking device allow the platforms to be moved simply and freely. Thanks to the aluminium profile construction, the platforms are quick and simple to assemble and disassemble.
