Protective machine guards as a modular field solution
Definition of the task
Protective machine guards are required for a fully automatic production line in the automotive industry. The plant is made up of several individual process sections, each of which is to be secured with its own protective fence. It needs to be straightforward to flexibly integrate the protective fences into the existing plant. The system therefore needs to be modular and is to be supplied in pre-assembled segments.
Solution from mk
Various individual segments were constructed using series 40 profiles to create a field solution. In this field solution, the posts form a single unit with the panelling material. The segments are erected alongside each other, securely connected to each other using plates or adjustable angle brackets and anchored to the floor with retaining brackets. This means that the protective fence can be flexibly adapted to the conditions on site.
Black, powder coated 40x40 welded grids are used for the panelling material. Access to the machines is provided by swing doors, secured with mechanical solenoid latches.
To ensure simple assembly at the customer’s site, the protective fences are supplied as pre-assembled modules.
