What will I do as a industrial mechanic?

  • You work in the assembly department, where you assemble components, machines and systems.
  • You call up drawings and models on a large screen and assemble everything precisely.
  • You ensure that work processes and time specifications for work preparation are adhered to.

How is the apprenticeship structured?

1st year of the apprenticeship
Basic knowledge of mechanics and metalworking, introduction to daily tasks by skilled workers

2nd year of the apprenticeship
Progression through departments, exam preparation for final exam part 1

3rd year of the apprenticeship
Progression through departments, enhancing skills in daily tasks, rotating with trainees at other locations, assisting with assembly at customer sites

4th year of the apprenticeship
Exam preparation for final exam part 2

What kind of further development will there be after the apprenticeship?

  • mk supports enrolment in a master school or technical school in the event of good performance
  • Trainer qualification certificate can be obtained
  • Technical specialist in various disciplines
  • Studies, e.g. in mechanical engineering or related fields
