Series 50 construction profiles are based on a grid dimension of 50 x 50 mm and multiples of this value. They are generally used for heavy-duty machine frames, frames with high static loads and load-bearing structures.
They consist predominantly of a high-quality aluminium alloy, AlMgSi 0.7 F27, which gives the profiles excellent stability and rigidity. Together with their innovative geometry, this makes them ideally suited for high static loads in machine construction applications. The mk 2011 (100 x 100 mm) profile, for example, can replace the square tubes with 4 mm walls used in classical steel construction applications, offering less deflection at a lower weight. Choosing the correct profile depends on its intended use and the necessary load capacity and design requirements.
The slot width of 10 mm and slot depth of 12 mm are designed for use with DIN M8 screws. However, M4, M5 and M6 screws can also be used. The profile’s outer drill channels are designed for tapping threads and for inserting a threaded insert or HELICOIL.
The series also includes cleanroom profiles, which are ideally suited for areas with stringent requirements for cleanliness and design. They feature a closed surface that is completely flat. Telescopic profiles round out the Series 50 product range. Certain profile cross sections are also available as curved profiles.
