In the manufacture of tobacco goods, tobacco containers should be furnished with an additional label. Labelling takes place after filling. A belt conveyor is therefore required. This serves as a separator from the filling system and can be integrated with the customer's labelling machine.
The conveyor should be mobile so that it can be docked to different filling lines. In addition, the speed should be adjustable so that it can be adapted to the corresponding line. Due to contamination from tobacco residues and essential oils, the conveyor module should be made of stainless steel for easy cleaning.
In this particular case, a customised INOX belt conveyor (GUF-I) was the optimal solution. By using FDA-compliant stainless steel components, the conveyor is particularly easy to clean and is also suitable for use under these special operating conditions.
The conveyor was designed to be height-adjustable and mobile on swivel casters. The speed is adjustable in order to adapt it to the respective filling task. The conveyor speed is increased by 10% when separating the containers for labelling. To ensure a smooth transfer, the side rail was extended to the upstream belt of the filling system and a knife edge was added for very small containers on the infeed end.
The labelling machine is installed on the belt conveyor by the customer.
