Problem definition
A hood for extracting dust particles is required for the production of laboratory equipment. The contour as well as the inputs and outputs are specified by the customer. The hood must be equipped with a suction nozzle for an extraction system provided by the customer. It must also be possible to open it for maintenance purposes. When the hood is closed, the gaps must be small enough that they do not reduce the suction capacity. The circulating dust must not produce electrostatic discharge. The housing needs to be transparent but also block UV radiation.
mk Solution
Dust extraction hood made from Series 25 profiles according to customer specifications. Green acrylic glass plates are screwed onto the outside to prevent any dust from escaping the hood. A separately welded box made from the same material is fastened to the hood with screws. This can be easily removed for maintenance purposes. The hood is equipped with a steel extraction pipe for the customer-provided extraction system. The hood is equipped with an earth terminal, and PE nuts ensure that the entire frame is conductive. This prevents undesired charges from building up.
